Hi there! Welcome to Bisque, we are Jan (pronounced "Yarn" like the wool Ja!) and Holly, and Bisque is our food baby. A family business has been a dream of ours for a long time and as we both lost our jobs during the Covid crisis, we decided there was no better time make that dream a reality.

Lupin is a regenerative crop, often used as green manure, which is one of the key reasons we chose this powerhouse pulse. Rather than depleting the soil, lupin helps restore nutrients back into the earth, supporting more sustainable farming practices.
We use the Albus lupin variety, a cultivar that is naturally free from alkaloids (bitters) and specifically grown for human consumption. It has a lovely sweet, nutty flavour and a beautiful deep golden colour.
Nutritionally, lupin surpasses many widely consumed legumes, including soy, making it an ingredient we truly believe in.
